Villa Rotterdam Design by Ooze

Architects Ooze of Paris and Rotterdam extended this Rotterdam house by covering a new faceted skin over the house’s obtainable collection of buildings and extensions. Called Villa Rotterdam, the project creates a new stairway, kitchen and extra bedrooms in the spaces among the old house and new shell. Prefabricated solid timber panels were used to speed building. The building has green roofs and is clad in stilted panels made from fast-growing softwood that’s treated in a high-tech procedure to make it extra durable than tropical hardwoods.
