Chadbourne and Doss Architects “Modern Hillside Home Plan”

Underwent a renovation which was lead by the modern innovators at Doss Architects and Chadbourn is hillside home of Mercer Island of Washington. The original home was designed by Fred Basseti, a Seattle architect. The old structure was changed to a modern living place. The home’s exterior and roof are covered by a steel skin. The open deck wrapped by an aluminum enclosure. Using cantilevered concrete walls the main entrance was rebuilt with in a sunken square. This leads to a four by eleven feet pivot door. The interiors of the structure are decorated with modern materials like unreserved glass walls. It has large living space with an open layout concept. – via -
